Alimony is the right provided by law to children, in case of separation or divorce of the parents, to receive the financial resources necessary to:

- Clothes
- Footwear
- Medicines
- Recreation
- Education
- School Supplies
Normally, the right to child support is maintained until they reach the age of 18, but if they are studying a university degree they could receive it until they reach the age of 21.
